With electric vehicles (EVs) on the rise in the UK, the search is on for properties with EV charging. In fact, 75% of all home movers say EV charging access is important when looking for a property.
That's why we're making it even easier to show off your listings that have EV charging points. From July 2025, buyers will be able to search for properties fitted with or pre-wired for an EV charger, using our new EV charging point filter.
What you need to do
Make your listings stand out. Just mention ‘EV charging point’ or ‘EV ready’ in the description of your listings.
Zoopla will then pick up your listings and add them to the EV charging point filter. This will allow buyers to filter their property search by this feature, giving your listings more visibility among high-intent buyers.
EV charging point vs EV ready
‘EV charging point’ should be used if the property already has an EV charger installed, whereas ‘EV ready’ should be used if the property has a parking space and the wiring fitted for EV charging. For example, all new-build homes built from June 2022 onwards will be prepared for the installation of a charging point, so can be described as 'EV ready'.
